Just simply follow these steps:
1. Decide on domain / subdomain name
Businesses usually chose “community.” as the subdomain for their domain so their community address looks like community.yourdomain.com3,545. I have posted some ideas for the subdomain name in the comment section.
2. Update your DNS with A or CNAME record
If you are using the main domain as your community address (e.g., www.YourAwesomeCommunity.com1,880), you need to follow the steps given below:
- A CNAME from www to domains.tribe.so2,284
- An A Record from @ (root) to 220.127.116.11
If the A Record is not set, the website won't be accessible from your domain and if the CNAME is missing it won't be accessible either.
If you are hosting the community on your selected subdomain you would only need to add a CNAME record and point it to domains.tribe.so2,284.
You can find it in your domain or hosting panel under DNS setting.
3. Set the domain on your Tribe's Admin Panel
Click on your profile picture on the top right and go to Admin Panel. On the left sidebar, click on Domains and enter the address you want to move the community. If the first two steps have been followed correctly, you will see a green message that the domain will be moved in the next 24 hours. If the settings are not correct, you will get a message on what records you need to change.
If you are using Cloudflare2,619 domain provider, please make sure before you add CNAME or A record, you click on the orange-colored cloud sing to make it grey-colored. And then you can add the the CNAME and A record.
